Here's something nobody tells you: those beautiful high-res photos from your phone? Terrible for the internet. A single photo can be anywhere from 3-8MB, which means your website loads like it's 2005 and Gmail straight-up refuses your email. The Image Compressor fixes this - it uses some pretty smart algorithms (I don't fully understand the math either, don't worry) to make images like 80-90% smaller without them looking noticeably different. I've compressed images down to 200KB that started at 4MB and honestly couldn't see the difference. Super useful for blog posts, project presentations, sending photos to people. The Image Resizer is different - that's for when you need exact dimensions. Like Twitter wants 1200x675 pixels for header images, Instagram stories need 1080x1920, etc. Instead of googling "how to resize image" for the hundredth time, you just type in the numbers you want. You can also crop stuff, which is handy when you need to focus on a specific part of a photo. Format conversion is another big one - JPG vs PNG. Basically: use PNG when you need transparent backgrounds (like logos), use JPG for everything else because it's way smaller. Our converter handles both directions. Oh and we have a QR Code generator because apparently everything needs a QR code now? WiFi passwords, links to your portfolio, whatever. The Favicon converter is specifically for that tiny icon that shows up in browser tabs - it needs to be a .ico file in specific sizes and formats, which is weirdly complicated. Background Remover is probably the coolest tool honestly - it uses AI to detect the main subject in a photo and delete everything else. Makes transparent PNGs for presentations or thumbnails or when you want to put yourself on a different background for some reason. And Color Picker grabs the exact color codes (HEX, RGB, all that) from any color, which is essential if you're trying to match your website colors or figure out what shade of blue something is. Everything processes right in your browser - your photos don't get uploaded to us or anyone else, which matters when you're editing personal stuff. Works offline too, which is nice.
